Rituals & Rites Project Gallery: Guidelines for submissions
The Gallery project aims at showcasing exciting research on the academic multidisciplinary investigation of rituals and rites. The gallery presents a series of posts stemming from non-traditional outputs including photographs, drawings and illustrations, video and audio recordings. Creative outputs are accompanied by a short text/essay explaining the context of the project, methodology, results, collaborations as necessary.
Authors are allowed (and encouraged) to include up to five references to books, edited volumes and/or academic journals following the Harvard referencing format:

Bibliography:
Submission should include the following items:

  • Title of the post
  • 4 to 5 keywords
  • Name of the author(s) and affiliations
  • Illustrations accompanied by a caption mentioning the source and/or credit
  • Word text, 1000 words
  • Up to 5 references
  • Acknowledgement of any institutional funding if this part of a research project.

Illustrations:
Illustrations will be submitted in high quality .jpg, .tiff or .psd files, with a resolution of at least 300 dpi.
Include a caption for each illustration, with credits.

Audio and video material:
Audio material (recordings) can be submitted as mp3 or midi files

Ethical considerations:
Material related to rituals and rites, past and present, can often be culturally sensitive. If you wish to publish photographs of skeletal material or sacred sites, you may first need to seek approval from stakeholders and traditional custodians, who should be acknowledged in the submission.
Submissions will be sent to Duncan Wright (Duncan.wright@anu.edu.au) and Guillaume Molle (Guillaume.molle@anu.edu.au). Following a review of the material, you will receive a notification of acceptance within 3 weeks and your contribution will then be uploaded in the website gallery.
